CAMCOPTER® S-100 again the only UAS flying at the Paris Air Show

Leading UAS manufacturer Schiebel, the Austrian hightech company once again flies at this years Paris Airshow. The UAS (Unmanned Air System) Camcopter S-100 is this year painted in red to be more visible to the eye of the spectators and visitors to Le Bourget.

Bell Helicopter and AgustaWestland chart a new direction for the BA609 Tiltrotor

This new agreement gives AgustaWestland ownership of the BA609 programme; Bell Helicopter to remain supplier of engineering services and key components.
Paris Airshow 2011 : Bell helicopter, announced today in a press conference, held jointly with AgustaWestland CEO Mr Spagnolini and Bell Helicopter CEO Mr Garrison, that AgustaWestland has agreed to purchase Bell's ownership interest in the BA609 tiltrotor programme. The sale of the Bell share of the programme will be completed upon regulatory aproval. Bell's continued contribution to the programme will be via engineering services and the provision of key components to the programme, the aircraft programme has now been renamed AW609 from BA609. |
